Mitchell Concrete was Established in 1981 by Tom Mitchell who had previously worked with other construction company’s such as Puffer’s Construction who assisted in building the Holyoke Mall. Mitchell Concrete would complete thousands of foundations and during the boom of the 90’s – if you’re in the Pioneer Valley most likely we did your foundation! Staple job include all concrete work in Mill Valley, The Amherst Post Office, and Swift River Retreat in Cummington.
Mitchell Concrete would operate under Tom Mitchell until 2015 when his son Jake Mitchell took over the company after graduating from UMass with a bachelors in Economics. Jake Mitchell worked concrete since Middle School learning from his father. Although he did not think he’d be doing this work after college; the business continues to grow in Massachusetts and beyond – still doing residential work, commerical, and now excavation. Jake enjoys the work, challenges and customers that he strives to satisfy and be happy after every job. Best of all Tom Mitchell is still around running job sites as well!
